Darius Rucker is committing one of his biggest albums to vinyl. In honor of the 10-year anniversary of his platinum-certified album, True Believers, Rucker is releasing it on vinyl for the first time. Originally released on May 21, 2013, the album features singles “Radio,” which reached the Top 5 on country radio, and the title track that cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

It’s also the album on which his wildly popular cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel” appears. His rendition won Best Country Solo Performance at the 2014 Grammy Awards. In 2022, it made history as one of five country songs to be certified diamond by the RIAA for sales of more than 10 million copies.
True Believers will be available on black vinyl, along with a limited number of commemorative signed copies. The vinyl edition is available for pre-order now.
“This album changed so much for me musically and for our live show,” Rucker says in a press release. “As a kid who worked as a clerk in a record store, there’s a part of me that has always wanted this album to live on vinyl, so this is a great way to commemorate 10 years of Believers.”
While celebrating a significant album from the past, Rucker also has his sights set on the future as he preps the release of his new album, Carolyn’s Boy, that’s expected to arrive later in 2023. Its current single, “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” is climbing the Top 30 on the Country Airplay chart. Rucker will embark on the Starting Fires Tour in the summer of 2023. The trek kicks off on June 15 in Roanoke, Virginia, and continues until October 14, when it wraps in Nashville, Tennessee, at Ascend Amphitheater.
The “Alright” singer will also headline his Riverfront Revival Music Festival in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, on October 7 and 8.
