FAVORITE LYRIC: “Everything is not enough, and nothing’s too much to bear. Where you’ve been is good and gone, all you keep’s the getting there.” (Townes Van Zandt)

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: Myself

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Honkytonk Heroes” by Billy Joe Shaver

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Billy Joe Shaver, and Will Ferrell all sitting at the same table.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Seeing John Fogerty and Willie Nelson together in Indianapolis a few years back.

I WROTE THIS SONG: I wrote this song to describe my opinion about where traditional country and rock and roll genres are heading in. I’m a total believer in keeping tradition and authenticity alive in general, and I thought this song was the most honest example of portraying that. (Especially in the middle of all the manufactured commercial music that is being pumped out and losing more signs of its roots by the day.)
