BIRTHDATE: February 25, 1988
BIRTHPLACE: Tulsa, Oklahoma
AMBITIONS: To keep creating music that reaches a lot of ears.
TURN-OFFS: Blatant lack of consideration for others.
TURN-ONS: Sarcasm.
DREAM GIG: I’d love to perform with Keane or work with Tim Rice-Oxley.
TV ADDICTIONS: Breaking Bad and the nightly news.
CELEBRITY CRUSH: Nancy Grace. Rwar!
WHAT MAKES A WOMAN SEXY: Apple bottom jeans and those boots with the fur.
5 THINGS EVERY MAN SHOULD OWN: A skillet, Spotify, water bottle, a Leatherman pocket knife, earbuds.
I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: Kicker Earbuds and the NanoStudio iPhone App.
I WROTE THIS SONG: completely ad-lib in a mildew-prone, run-down auto repair shop in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The whole idea for the song was to record anything and everything that came into my head with no prior direction. It’s a process I repeated on my next album with a song called “The River” and I definitely will always employ this technique on future projects. I recorded with a small pro-tools set up, laid down tracks for the harmonies, set them on loop, and recorded anything and everything that came to my mind in one take.
