SONG: “Salt”
HOMETOWN: Austin, Texas
CURRENT LOCATION: Austin, Texas
AMBITIONS: To break through in the music industry to where we can solely make music our job, and have extra funds to help others in need.
TURN-OFFS: Complainers, dishes in the sink, and big egos.
TURN-ONS: Hearing a sound we’ve never heard before, humility, and spontaneity.
DREAM GIG: Red Rocks Amphitheater .
FAVORITE LYRIC: “A picture of you holding a picture of me…In the pocket of my blue jeans…Still don’t know what love means…” – Ray LaMontagne, “Jolene”
SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Big Poppa” by The Notorious B.I.G.
5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes), Bon Iver, Rumi, Willie Nelson, and Jesus.
MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Local Natives
I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE…Drew (our guitar player) wrote the guitar parts after attending a Bahamas concert and being influenced by their dreamy sound. He showed me what he had, and the words and melodies just fell out of my mouth. The song came together so easily; sometimes those are the best ones.
