I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: a little bit of love.
I WROTE THIS SONG: This song was the first of many that came after the worst two years of my life. Grief, pain and loss usually unveil not only your own character but, the character of others. In the midst of my hurt I longed for the past. I longed for the days when everything was uncomplicated and sweet. I wanted to be young and unscathed by the world. I wanted to feel pure love again and I wanted the man I loved to feel it too. Unfortunately, life can be cruel and sometimes, we can only hold onto our memories and accept what we’ve become. “I’m not in love with the man you’ve become / But I remember a boy.”
