ARTIST: Sedgewick

SONG: “So Long, John”

HOMETOWN: Chicago, Illinois

CURRENT LOCATION: Chicago, Illinois

AMBITIONS: To make music that disarms people.

TURN-OFFS: Entitled people, bad parenting, laziness, the color yellow.

TURN-ONS: Courage, making honest mistakes, hard work, kittens.

DREAM GIG: Probably Glastonbury…

FAVORITE LYRIC: “Songs become widowed when they lose the ones they’re for // questions hang around like dogs.” – J.E. Sunde

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Tenderness” by Paul Simon

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Kendrick Lamar, David Foster Wallace, Louis C.K., Mr. Rogers, and Michael Jordan

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Bon Iver at Pabst Theater in Milwaukee.  We spoke afterwards, and Justin Vernon wrote Jake and I a short poem in our notebook.

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE… Good friends of one of us were not thinking straight and letting their hearts get in the way. It’s an anthem to get them to march on and to love themselves; to be okay with saying goodbye..
