SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Chicago” by Sufjan Stevens

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: My wife (brownie points), Jesus, My deceased Grandfather…greatest man I’ve ever known, Michael Jackson, John Mayer (I sometimes dream about that one…weird, I know but I think we would be great friends)

FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: MuteMath at the Pageant in St. Louis…mind blowing!

I WROTE THIS SONG: This song came about one day when I decided to take an honest look at myself. It’s easy to let your reputation determine what you think about yourself. For the longest time I was known as a “nice guy” from a very “nice family” but I knew there was more beneath the surface…more that wasn’t so nice. The song is just me being honest about myself…I’m not perfect and I’m owning up to it. I’ve done terrible things. But in spite of that, there are wonderful things that have been done for me. The song is a tribute to that.
