ARTIST: Noam Weinstein

SONG: “The 80s

BIRTHDATE: May 7th, 1977

HOMETOWN: Cambridge, MA

CURRENT LOCATION: Cambridge, MA (slow obstetrician)

AMBITIONS: To write songs that haven’t been written better before.

TURN-OFFS: Turn-offs.

TURN-ONS: Sugar. Humor. Small courtesies. Big hearts.

DREAM GIG: Superbowl Half-Timeout Show. I’d run on the field, tune my guitar, do a 10-second medley of my greatest hits (may have to throw in some covers), run off while yelling my website address, game would resume.

FAVORITE LYRIC: “forever was never til now”  (e.e. cummings)

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: Contest is still underway (submission deadline extended).

SONG I WISH I WROTE: So many! Lately in love with the new albums by Matt Kanelos and The Universal Thump.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Hmm… Stella Gibbons, Benjamin Franklin, Aretha Franklin, Louis CK, Louis XV. Everyone eating in silence.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Maybe Prince at the Forum in Los Angeles a couple years ago; my friend Mark and I showed up late, without tickets, and wandered around from entrance to entrance until someone took pity on us. Next 90 minutes were soulful insanity!

I WROTE THIS SONG: Thinking how strange it is that certain eras become associated with bad taste, and wondering if there’s any way to know how history will treat ours?
