MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: End of the Road Festival (UK)

I WROTE THIS SONG: I wrote “Hooky” in Southern California, when I was decompressing from tour trying to decide if I was going to write another song.  It’s a mantra for me to keep working on songwriting, mixed in with some whimsical lyrics about love.  The album title came to me as a satire, with a dual meaning.  Playing “Hooky” from the work you know you are supposed to be doing, but also writing a song that is catchy enough to appeal to the masses.  It’s playing with the idea that ultimately I am writing this song for myself, but if everyone loves it that would be cool too.  Never give up on your dreams.
