ARTIST:  Erinn Alissa Selkis

SONG: “Fairytale Ending”

BIRTHDATE:  January 9th

HOMETOWN: Albany, NY

CURRENT LOCATION:  Santa Monica, CA

AMBITIONS: Write really great songs in a lot of different genres/moods. Get placements in movies and TV. Sing and write as my full time career and have a blast doing it.

TURN-OFFS: Rudeness, uptightness, boredom, people who give their opinion when I didn’t ask for it, and songs written like it’s a factory that all sound the same.

TURN-ONS: Thunderstorms, love, authenticity, guitars, a nice buzz from a glass (or two) of wine, music, cowboy boots, writing music

DREAM GIG: Writing with Katy Perry

FAVORITE LYRIC: “There’s a bottle on the dresser by your ring/ And it’s empty, so right now I don’t feel a thing/I’ll be hurtin’ when I wake up on the floor/And I’ll be over it by noon/And that’s the difference between whiskey and you

Written by the amazing Chris Stapleton; it sums it all up so heartbreakingly in just 5 lines. Amazing.

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW:   Probably myself! I tend to live with my heart and not always think things through. But I have a lot of fun.

SONG I WISH I WROTE:   Happy Birthday. I would be set for life. And every other life, if that really exists.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: My dad, stepmom and little sister, because they live in NY and I rarely see them. The man I’m dating who actually produced the above song for me. Definitely Katy Perry. And Chris Stapleton, so I could make him play and sing to me all night. That was 6, sorry.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Probably my first concert ever, Debbie Gibson when I was 7 or 8 years old. I idolized her and she’s the main reason I got into singing and writing music.

I WROTE THIS SONG: Because my heart was broken, and it was the only way I could let out my emotions and express myself. It started off being about wanting that particular guy back, but turned more into wanting my own “fairytale” that really had nothing to do with him. And things are working out just fine 🙂
