MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Mute Math – 2004 in NYC

I WROTE THIS SONG: This song is really about me being inside my own head. I really wasn’t trying to write toward something when I was working on this song, the lyrics just came out very naturally. It’s a pretty open, and personal song about my own shortcomings. I suppose I was just tired of hearing music, from others or myself, that was skin deep or cheesy. I think with most challenges in life, it’s more of a mental battle than anything else, and that’s something that we as a band thought was worth saying.
