MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Jack Johnson in 2010 at Aaron’s Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia. It was my twenty-first birthday and I was with two of my close buddies. I had the chance to play Jimmy Buffett’s “A Pirate Looks At Forty” with Jack. Zach Gill played accordion and G. Love let me use his guitar.

I WROTE THIS SONG: After a conversation I had with a friend. He told me about how one of the most memorable kisses he had was while he and his girlfriend at the time were stopped at a stoplight. I sort of filed that story away in my mind and wrote the song a few months later. It is really just a unique way of reminding myself and others to try and find the good in every moment, even if that moment is while your stuck at a red light.

MOST EXCITING THING I’VE EVER DONE: Traveling alone to Australia to visit my older sister We’ve always been really close and I really missed her.
