ARTIST: Chris Altmann

SONG: “Walk On (You’re Slowly Heading Home)”

BIRTHDATE: December 9th, 1978

BIRTHPLACE: Mt Barker, South Australia

AMBITIONS: Learn the saxophone.

TURN-OFFS: Fluorescent clothes of any kind.

TURN-ONS: Kindness.

DREAM GIG: Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen live from Armadillo World headquarters, November 1973. I’d love to be on stage with them, but I’d be happy just to be there.

IF I HAD MORE TIME, I WOULD: brew my own beer.

CELEBRITY CRUSH: Marilyn Monroe

PETS: I like to play with dogs and cats but I don’t have one myself. My wife expects my full attention at home.

5 FAVORITE FUNNYMEN: Leslie Neilson, Mel Brooks, John C Reilly, Peter Sellers, Larry David.

I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: my pants. Not only do they save me the embarrassment of showing my knees in public, they also contain handy things like my keys and my wallet.

I WROTE THIS SONG: in the kitchen at my old house. I had been reading about Thomas A Dorsey, who wrote Peace in the Valley and many other gospel classics, and I wanted to write a very simple gospel song that anyone could relate to.
