All proceeds will go to The Bridge School, a program founded by Neil Young and wife Pegi to help children with severe speech and physical impairments. CSNY’s performance at the benefit will be their first since 2006. Tickets for the benefit go on sale Sept. 13 at 10 am.
Neil Young has also just announced that Pono, his music service created for listeners to download high-resolution songs made to sound like their original recordings, is set to be released in early 2014.
In other Neil Young news, the legendary songwriter was recently stranded on the highway in his famed 1959 Linc Volt electric car near Truckee, CA. He was rescued by highway patrol before signing a few autographs, posing for a few photos and eventually continuing on his way.
