Jelly Roll spent several birthdays and holidays behind bars. However, he goes to more jails now that he has straightened out his life than he ever did when he was living a life of crime. The singer/songwriter visits juvenile and adult detention centers to boost inmates’ morale. Bunnie Xo Reflects on Going to Jail with Jelly Roll
“I went to jail today, willingly,” Bunnie said over a clip of country music’s newest power couple walking into the detention center. “I was so honored today to be able to tag along with my husband and go visit Pulaski County Detention Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Look how sweet these babies are,” she said. The video showed them walking into a room full of excited female inmates who screamed with joy as they entered the room.

The rest of the video showed Jelly Roll performing for the crowd and cracking some jokes. There’s even a clip of the ladies singing “Save Me” along with him. “Today was absolute chicken soup for the soul, man. To be able to bring smiles to their faces in probably the lowest time in their lives was everything to me,” Bunnie said. “I have to say, man, the most attractive thing about my husband is his heart,” she added.
The inmates weren’t the only ones who walked away from the interaction feeling better about life. “I hope they know how much of an impact they had on me and how much they lifted my spirit also,” she said. “I realize more and more lately that God has given us these platforms to give back, not to receive. And that’s what I plan on doing alongside my husband,” she concluded.
