How do I unsubscribe from your mailing list?
We’re sorry to see you go! There is an unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email. Please note that we have multiple mailing lists, so if you are still receiving emails, please send a note to info@americansongwriter.com, and we will assist you.
If you do not see an unsubscribe button, you most likely have push notifications on for American Songwriter. Those can be turned off in your browser settings.

How do I log into my account?
As a member you have 2 logins:
Your acount login at americansongwriter.com which includes all of your purchasing history.
American Songwriter Magazine is bi-monthly. We send the list of recipients to our printer on the 1st of every other month.
You can always read any issue of American Songwriter Magazine in the Membership Hub
How do I change my street address?
Go to the membership tab in the menu and sign into your account. A menu will appear on the left side of the screen with a “Addresses” option. This is where you can update your shipping and billing addresses.
How does my membership renewal work?
The memberships automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage your membership status on your account profile, which can be found under the membership tab on our homepage. If you have already paid for the year, then your access will continue until the date you were set to renew. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Do I maintain ownership of my song?
Yes! We do NOT claim ownership in the materials you submit in conjunction with the contest.
Is the contest international?
Yes! Submissions from any country are allowed.
How much does it cost?Â
$25 per entry. Note: Each category you select counts as a separate entry.
Is production quality a factor?
No, production quality is not a factor in our annual Song Contest.
How do I submit my songs?
Copy and paste a public link to your songs into the form at checkout. They can be hosted on any streaming platform: SoundCloud, YouTube, etc.
How do I edit my entry?Â
To edit your entry please email our Customer Relations team at info@americansongwriter.com with your Order ID and the edit you need to make. *Note: We cannot guarantee that we will be able to edit your entry if you contact us more than 2 weeks after your entry date.

The winners of the 2024 Song Contest will be announced via email and on our website in the Spring of 2025.Â

Everything is a factor in a talent contest. Enter songs and video performances that best personify you as an artist. The more songs & videos you enter, the better chance our judges have to evaluate your talent.

How do I know if my song was entered into the promotion?Â
If you submit your entry into an eligible contest during a promotion period, it will automatically be included in the promotion. *Note: the promotion will not show up on your receipt.
How are promotions different from American Songwriters’ other contests?Â
Special promotions are a way for us to offer additional prizes to our contest entrants! They only run for a short period of time and by entering during a promotion period your submission will be considered for both promotional prizes + the respective contest prizes.
Who judges the promotions?Â
All promotion entries are reviewed and screened by multiple professional songwriters contracted by American Songwriter.

For the lyric contest submission, we only require the text of the lyrics.
Do you own my lyrics if I submit to the contest?
Absolutely not! American Songwriter does not claim any rights whatsoever to the material submitted to our contest.
Do submission to the contest need to be in English?
Yes – all of our judges are predominantly English speaking.
