The Host
Wynonna Judd will serve as host for the televised event, which bookmarks the end of a busy year for the country star. Her appearance as emcee comes just days after the end of her Back to Wy Tour, which revisits the songs of her first two solo albums. It also marked the celebrated country star’s first time back on the Grand Ole Opry House stage since her headline-making performance and acceptance speech at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards.
The Performances
An eclectic mix of established artists and rising acts will appear on stage to perform during the television special. According to a press release, viewers will be treated to renditions of beloved holiday songs and newer original tracks.
Legendary vocalist Brenda Lee, known for her version of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” will take the stage for a memorable holiday performance. Pop hitmaker Kelly Clarkson, actress and singer Chrissy Metz, and country stars Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Trace Adkins, BRELAND, Chris Janson, Adam Doleac, Meghan Patrick, and Mitchell Tenpenny are also set to appear.
Specifics about the performances have mostly been kept under wraps ahead of the special’s airing. Still, viewers can likely expect to see a mix of unique duets and collaborations between the all-star acts.
When and Where to Watch
Christmas at the Opry, filmed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, will air December 7 at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on NBC. Peacock subscribers can stream the special on demand the following day.
