Carrie Underwood Headlines Concert Honoring NFL Greats
The 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival ended with a bang Sunday (Aug. 4.) Carrie Underwood headlined the Concert for Legends at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

As the “Undo It” singer’s set grew closer, one fan had a bold prediction. “I think it would be hilarious if she opens with the Sunday night theme song,” wrote Philip Fisher, who goes by the X/Twitter handle @Iron_Raichu.
Another post came less than two hours later: “I F—ING CALLED IT!!!!!”
Indeed, the eight-time GRAMMY winner took the stage in sparkly silver shorts and cowboy boots. The crowd roared as she belted the familiar opening notes to “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night.”

Judging from social media, the country music megastar fulfilled several fans’ wishes with her last-minute setlist change. “Carrie, please tell me you’re going to sing ‘Waiting All Day For Sunday Night,’” wrote one fan on X/Twitter. “It’s at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and it’s a Sunday night.”
Another fan wrote, “I feel like@carrieunderwood should kick off her show tonight at @ProFootballHOF with Waiting All Day for Sunday Night. It just seems right. #SNF“
