FACE will delve into Jimin’s story of finding his true self and trekking out as a solo artist. With the impending record, the boy bander has been given the opportunity to flesh out his own musical direction. In keeping with his BTS roots, the album will be accompanied by a masterclass dance performance in both the music videos and in a live setting.
“BTS member Jimin will be releasing his first solo album FACE,” Jimin’s label, BIGHIT MUSIC, shared in a statement. [The Album] is all about Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist. Jimin will see the fans through various activities including the FACE release, so we ask for your continued interest and support for Jimin’s first official solo activity.”
Along with the announcement, Jimin shared a teaser video for the project. The short clip starts with a drop of water falling into a dark ocean. As the water begins to ripple, the album title is spelled out overtop a copper background.

Jimin first rose to fame as part of BTS. On top of his vocal duties with the group, he plays a central role in their choreography given his background in modern dance.
He has already started curating his solo discography with songs like “Lie,” “Serendipity” and “VIBE.”
BTS – consisting of members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook – have taken the world by storm following their 2013 debut. The group has collected six No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles since 2020.
