Zach Bryan Gives Bruce Springsteen a Chart First and a Return

“Sandpaper” gave Springsteen his first appearance on the Hot Country Songs Chart. At the same time, it saw the “Born in the USA” singer returning to the Hot 100 for the first time in more than 15 years. His last appearance on the all-genre survey was “Working on a Dream” which peaked at No. 95 in 2009. The collaboration with Bryan marks the Boss’ 27th appearance on the chart.

While it has been a while since Bruce Springsteen has seen chart success, he’s no stranger to the upper registers of the Hot 100. Since debuting on the chart nearly five decades ago, he has launched 12 tracks to the top 10. He has also had one track, “Trapped” top the chart. However, he has seen much more success on the Billboard 200 Album chart. He has landed 11 chart toppers on that survey with another 11 landing in the top 10. His last No. 1 album was High Hopes from 2014.
