Brian Kelley shares an ode to small-town life in his latest release, “Dirt Cheap.” The track, written by Seth Ennis, Wyatt McCubbin, and Andy Sheridan, sees Kelley’s dream of ditching the city in favor of something a little more laid back.

“The moment I heard ‘Dirt Cheap’ I knew I had to record it,” Kelley said in a statement. “It reminded me of some of my favorite Country songs growing up that really pull at your heartstrings.
“As much as I love the beach, I love the country too,” Kelley added. “This song matches and meets me where I’m at in life currently. I’m working hard, so in love with my wife Brittney, and always keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect ‘Dirt Cheap’ property of our own. I am so thankful this song landed in my world, and I hope it resonates with those who hear it just like it did with me.”
If you wanna slow things down, break a little ground / Where the green grass grows and the fresh air’s free / Girl, I reckon we oughta be headin’ where they still sell it / Dirt cheap, he sings in his classic drawl.
“Dirt Cheap” arrives as Kelley is working on his next full-length solo album with Big Machine Records. His single, “See You Next Summer” is currently climbing the charts. The track also marked the first time he earned the coveted “most-added” position at country radio as a solo artist.

“When I first heard it, I was smiling the whole way through,” Kelley previously shared in a statement. “I’ve lived this song. It was striking chords all over my body, I felt it in my soul.”
The full-length project will follow Kelley’s 2021 solo album Sunshine State Of Mind released via Warner Music Nashville and Nashville South.
“When I started making this record, I wasn’t trying to coin anything—I didn’t have a certain sound, I just knew as we were writing a song what it would be,” Kelley told American Songwriter at the time of Sunshine State of Mind‘s release. “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, I want to do a beach, island thing or whatever.’ I’ll take whatever anybody wants to call it.’”
