Five-piece country band Boy Named Banjo has shared its major label debut album, Dusk. Each of the tracks captures a light-night vibe. According to a release, the album includes themes of “lust and longing as well as hope and heartbreak.”

The nine-track record was produced by longtime collaborator Oscar Charles. The production of the record seeks to “capture the high-octane energy of their beloved live shows.”

The album covers a gamut of styles from up-tempo anthems to dark meditations. The band’s sound has something classic infused into it, which is in large part due to its choice of instruments–the building blocks of classic country tunes.
Boy Named Banjo began more than a decade ago. The band members–Barton Davies, William Reames, Ford Garrard, Willard Logan, Sam McCullough, and Abe Scott–met while growing up in Nashville.
“We’re not a band that just got thrown together in the studio,” Reames explained on the band’s website. “We’re a group of best friends who’ve been doing this together since we were kids, and it shows in our music. We’ve spent a lot of time finding ourselves and our sound.”
The band is currently on the road for their Dusk Til Dawn Tour. Through the remainder of the year, the group has tour stops in Los Angeles, Memphis, Birmingham, Brooklyn, and a newly added Nashville date. Tickets can be found HERE.
