Billy Idol, along with his longtime collaborator and guitarist Steve Stevens, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, and No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal performed the first-ever concert at the Hoover Dam on April 8.

Set on the Colorado River, along the Nevada and Arizona border, Idol’s Hoover Dam show had an audience of 250 fans and was filmed for an upcoming concert film set for release later in the year.
The concert also helped kick off Idol’s nearly sold-out 2023 spring and summer North American Tour, which will run through a May 20 performance at the Cruel World Festival. The trek will return in the fall with a few select dates, including one with Foo Fighters on September 3.
In October 2023, Idol will also start a week-long residency at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Earlier in 2023, Idol was honored with the first Hollywood Walk of Fame star of the year. Honoring Idol, during the January 6 dedication in front of the famed record store Amoeba Music, were guest speakers Henry Rollins and OBEY artist Shepard Fairey.
“I raised my family here and I’ve recorded a lot of my albums here, so it’s fantastic to be honored like this,” said Idol during the ceremony. “It’s something I could never have imagined or ever entered my mind, but I’ve made a lot of my creative choices here, so it makes sense.”
Idol recently released The Cage EP, a follow-up to his The Roadside EP, released in 2021. Along with Stevens, The Cage EP also features production by Butch Walker (Green Day, Weezer), Joe Janiak (Ellie Goulding, Adam Lambert), Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly), and Tommy English (Kacey Musgraves, BØRNS), who also co-wrote three of the tracks on the EP.
