Two titans of pop music are publicly supporting each other. During Beyonce’s recent sold-out show at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey as part of her Renaissance World Tour, Madonna was one of the thousands of people in the audience cheering Beyonce on. Beyonce acknowledged her presence from the stage during a performance of “Break My Soul.” “Big shout out to the queen, Queen Mother Madonna, we love you,” the superstar announced while strutting down the catwalk.

But that wasn’t the only interaction they shared. Beyonce and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, also met with Madonna and her three daughters Mercy, Stella, and Estere backstage at the show. “Thank you Queen B for your Magnificent show!” Madonna shared on social media alongside photos from the concert, including one that shows the phrase “Queen Mother Madonna” projected on the massive screen. “My daughters were enthralled! We love you.”

“Break My Soul” was released in 2022 as the lead single off Beyonce’s latest album, Renaissance. Madonna is featured on one of four remixes of the song that was released in August 2022, known as “The Queens Remix.”
This marks Madonna’s first public appearance since she was rushed to the hospital after suffering a bacterial infection that sent her to the ICU, which led to the postponement of her Celebration Tour. After returning home, the legendary singer took to Instagram to share that she was recovering and grateful for all the support. “Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement,” she said. “I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.”
On Monday (July 31), she updated fans about the Celebration Tour, saying she plans to launch it in fall 2023. “I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour,” she said. “I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone. My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can.”
