Apparently, 2023 is the year of the concert film. “I hope you feel liberated, but the Renaissance is not over,” Beyoncé can be heard saying in the chromed-out trailer for the impending project. The message of empowerment is bolstered by splashy shots of the singer and her dancers, wowing audiences all the way from Stockholm to Missouri.

The Renaissance Tour has undoubtedly been Beyoncé’s biggest tour. She took the gritty, glamorous club aesthetic of the album and dumped it right onto the stage. From a chrome horse to elaborate costumes to larger-than-life props, this tour had it all. And it’s about to be shown in ultra high-def in theaters across the world.

Judging by the interspersed rehearsal footage in the trailer, the film will likely also highlight the creative process behind the tour. Given what we know about Beyoncé’s work ethic, this part of the project is sure to build even more respect for the pop superstar.

“In this world that is very male-dominated,” Beyoncé added in the trailer. “I’ve had to be really tough to balance motherhood and being on this stage. It just reminds me of who I really am.”

The film is expected to arrive in theaters on December 1. Tickets to the must-see event are available on Beyonce’s official film website, HERE.

The tour was in support of the singer’s latest album, Renaissance. The record saw her employ classic house beats with retro flavors. It saw Beyoncé take a huge sonic leap away from her past releases. The gamble massively paid off, becoming one of her most talked about records to date.
