The Nashville Recording Workshop and Expo, a 2-day event being held March 5th and 6th at The Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, will host Ben Folds as their 2010 keynote speaker. Folds will deliver the Wednesday morning address titled “Technology Meets Creativity.” Similar to last year’s keynote speaker Ricky Skaggs, Folds is a Nashville-based artist, producer and studio owner and this year’s address will likely have a savvier twist on the types of changes that digital media and technology are exacting on professional recording.

In addition to the Folds keynote, panels and workshops are held throughout both days, covering topics such as: Vocal Miking, Beats and Loops, Practical Acoustics and Mastering. Other heavy-hitters in the Nashville recording and producing community such as Chuck Ainlay, Ray Kennedy, Gary Nicholson and Niko Bolas will also be in attendance as panelists and presenters.
The NRW+E is a co-production of the Audio Engineering Society’s Nashville Section, chaired by Mike Porter, and Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business. February 24th is the last day for early bird registration, which will save attendees $20 off regular price admission. (Regular price admission is $99 for members and $119 for non-members.)
