Perhaps we’ll be sick of it tomorrow, but for at least another day, Erin McCarley’s latest single is our favorite song to hear blaring out of our car stereo.
McCarley is a Nashville singer-songwriter who impressed fans and critics with her debut album, Love, Save The Empty. But that album was lacking the hooky brilliance of “Just Another Day,” which may be the modern day equivalent of Nena’s “99 Luft Ballons.”
With a slyly inventive chord progression and honeyed vocals pushed high in the mix, this ear worm of a song is “driving us crazy,” in a good way. Watch the lyric video below.
