Check out “Tell Me Ida,” another great track from Austin rockers Good Field.

“The idea for the song developed while watching old footage of my grandparents from the 1950s,” singer Paul Price tells us. “Something about seeing them so young made me wonder what courtship was like back then. It’s interesting to me, the thought that there have always been young people falling in love throughout the history of time and what that has been like in each generation.

“‘Tell Me Ida’ is a story about a new relationship beginning around the time my grandparents were young. Ida is a classy broad that wears a cone bra and Bill is a well-kept shy guy that wears a suit. She gets her heart broken by another man, and Bill, who has had his eye on her for awhile now, gets the courage to go to her door flowers in hand and ask her out. He charms her with how much he cares, and the two fall in love and get married. At the end of the story, the two are standing in the kitchen of the first house they just bought. Bill becomes overwhelmed with gratitude, and turns to Ida saying ‘Ida honey, it’s just you and me.’
