Are you a guitar synthesist? (Do you even know what that is? Go here.)

If you’re more comfortable playing a guitar than, say, a keyboard synthesizer, but you still want those sweet synth sounds, you might be a g-synth god-in-the-making. If so, electronic instrument manufacturer, Roland Corp., is launching a new challenge for guitar synthesists. They’re inviting all “forward-thinking” guitarists to upload a video of an original song to YouTube, and will be giving away thousands of dollars worth of Roland and BOSS prizes.

How to Enter:
1. Create a music performance video, five minutes or less, relying primarily on a Roland guitar synthesizer product (GR, GM, or GI series). Original music only, please.
2. Upload your video to YouTube. Make sure the title begins with “Roland Guitar Synth Challenge.”
3. Fill out the entry form to the right. Be sure to include your YouTube username and a link to your video.

List of Prizes:
Grand Prize: $3000 of Roland and BOSS gear (your choice)
2nd Place Prize: $2000 of Roland and BOSS gear (your choice)
3rd Place Prize: $1000 of Roland and BOSS gear (your choice)
