Alt-pop singer-songwriter Angel Olsen has followed up the unexpected release of her new song “Intern” and its accompanying music video with the announcement of a new album, My Woman, which drops September 2 via Jagjaguwar. The album is said to feature more pop- and rock-oriented tracks on the front end, while the second half will showcase her longer, more reflective songs.

“I’m definitely using scenes that I’ve replayed in my head, in the same way that I might write a script and manipulate a memory to get it to fit – but I think it’s important that people can interpret things the way that they want to,” says Olsen.
