iPad App Update: Jimmy Fallon, ‘Playlist’ and new Version 2.4

Get excited tablet junkies, the new American Songwriter for the iPad, Version 2.4 is now live in the Apple App Store.

Released July 9th, 2012 and building upon previous versions, the newest American Songwriter iPad App has several new features. Update includes the July/August issue with Jimmy Fallon  – boasting 3 different digital covers, videos from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, exclusive video from our most recent Rhett Miller in-office session, exclusive photos from Bonnaroo 2012 and a new ‘More Media” button to activate extended content on every page.

The ‘More Media button’ shown above, activates a drop-down that can contain YouTube videos, exclusive videos or photos, URLs to AmericanSongwriter.com relevant stories and more info on the author or artist not found in the print or online stories.

The American Songwriter iPad App has a free “News” section -that opens every time you open the App.  Alongwith the other free “Playlist” and “Photos” sections of the App, our staff selects the best stories, photos, videos, song premiers and up-to-the minute content from AmericanSongwriter.com inside a clean, App viewer.  We hope you enjoy and please email us at info@americansongwriter.com if you have any problems or feedback on the product.

TECH NOTES UPDATED 7.19.2012:  The App was experiencing some technical issues with the Restore functions for previous subscribers or purchasing updating to the Version 2.4, these bugs and technical issues have been resolved.  Simply open the application and make sure you have downloaded the most recent Version from your iTunes store. 

The App is free to download and includes two free issues [May/June and July/August 2011], and the ability to buy single issues, subscribe for $7.99, or activate your free digital edition if you are a print subscriber by entering you email. We are very proud of this new technology, but want to hear what our readers would like to see next.

After downloading the free App, American Songwriter subscribers can activate their subscription by clicking the red “Subscribe” button in the top right — then each issue can be downloaded.
