Ronnie Fauss’ new album I Am The Man You Know I’m Not hits stores October 9, but you can preview it in full at American Songwriter. The Texas alt-country rocker, freshly signed to Normaltown Records (a subsidiary of New West), drew inspiration from his songwriting heroes while crafting the followup to his acclaimed 2010 EP Mulligan.

“We recorded most of I Am The Man You Know I’m Not in East Nashville in the Spring of 2012, and we were listening to lots of old Neil Young, Gram Parsons, and Steve Earle albums while we were recording… we were definitely hoping to achieve an earthiness that is present in their best works.”

Judge for yourself, but we think he hit the mark.
