When Bob Dylan teamed with director Nash Edgerton in 2009 for the surreal, madcap Christmas video “It Must Be Santa,” he knew he had found a kindred spirit.

Edgerton, who also shot the clip for “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’”, gets behind the lens for the video for “Duquesne Whistle,” the five-minute-plus first single off Dylan’s upcoming album Tempest. In his previous life, Edgerton was a stunt coordinator for The Matrix and played Ewan McGregor’s body double in the Star Wars prequels.

The video, much like “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’,” takes a dark, Tarantino-esque turn, and features a cameo by the 71 year old Dylan leading a bizarro street gang. Watch it below.
