Wilco took New York this week; first with two back to back shows at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, where everyone from stroller pushing moms to art-damaged indie kids took in the band’s two-hour-plus sets. The first night found the “Via Chicago” band performing during a thunder and lightning storm, while the second focused on filling in the gaps in the their standard set list.
They then headed for the great indoors, with a performance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon that yielded a fiery performance of “Art Of Almost,” from our 2011 album of the year, The Whole Love.
They also performed a bonus song, Loose Fur’s “Laminated Cat,” always a contender for the greatest lost track of all time.
