“Thank You” is Asher HaVon’s first piece of original music since winning The Voice. And as viewers waited to learn who would join him on the show’s roster of winners, the 33-year-old took the stage to perform it live.

“Oh Reba is gonna cry,” one fan wrote on X/Twitter. That prediction came true almost immediately.

As the two embraced following the performance, HaVon told his former coach that she “means everything” toh him.

In a Nov. 29 Instagram post, the gospel singer overflowed with gratitude for his coach.

“Mama Reba, you saw me in my darkest moments, tossing and turning in a nightmare, and you woke me up,” HaVon wrote. “You reminded me of the incredible gift that God has given me and encouraged me to ‘STAY WOKE.’ Working with you week after week opened my eyes to a world I had never imagined.”

He concluded the post by dedicating “Thank You” to Reba, his “angel on earth.”

In an interview with Extra TV, Reba admitted she “sat there crying” over Asher’s heartfelt tribute.

And for him to do what he did on The Voice last season was unbelievable,” she said. “He’s beautiful inside and out and I’m so proud of him, and that song meant the world to me.”

Will Reba Repeat as ‘The Voice’ Champion?

Reba McEntire returned to The Voice season 26 to defend her title. With only the top 5 artists remaining, her hopes rest with Danny Joseph. The British-Texan singer has clawed his way to the finale with stunning performances like Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals.

In order to make it two in a row for Reba, Joseph must out-perform Shye and Sofronio Vasquez of Team Bublé, Team Snoop’s Jeremy Beloate, and Sydney Sterlace, of Team Gwen.

The “Queen of Country” singer will not return for season 27, which airs Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at 8 p.m. Eastern on NBC.
