Elvis Costello Announces 2025 Radio Soul! Tour, Which Will Showcase Songs from His Early Albums

Elvis Costello will turn back the clock to focus on songs from the early part of his career on an upcoming 2025 U.S. tour. Dubbed “Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello,” the 18-date trek will kick off June 12 in Seattle and run through a July 12 concert in Miami Beach, Florida. Elvis will be joined on the outing by his longtime backing band The Imposters and guest guitarist Charlie Sexton.

The tour will mainly feature tunes spanning from Costello’s 1977 debut album, My Aim Is True, through his 1986 studio effort Blood & Chocolate. The shows also will offer a few surprises, including “Radio Soul,” an early version of Elvis’ classic song “Radio, Radio.” The tune, which the tour is named after, dates back to a series of demos Costello recorded in 1975.

“For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago,” Elvis said regarding the tour’s theme.

He also noted about the trek, “You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure. Don’t forget this show is ‘Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters,’ an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new.”

Costello added, “They are nobody’s tribute band. The Imposters are a living, breathing, swooning, swinging, kicking and screaming rock and roll band who can turn their hands to a pretty ballad when the opportunity arises.”

Tickets for the Radio Soul! tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 13, at 10 a.m. local time. An artist pre-sale will begin Wednesday, December 11, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans interested in purchasing tickets early can check out StubHub.

About Costello’s Expanded King of America Reissue

Costello is planning to perform some songs from his 1986 album King of America during the middle of his shows. Elvis recently released an expanded reissue of the album titled King of America & Other Realms.

The six-CD collection features a remastered version of the album; demos, outtakes, and other tracks associated with the King of America sessions; audio of a 1987 live performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London; a variety of tracks from various years that display Costello’s passion for Americana.
