Tears For Fears Blend Old and New in Superb Hits Medley on ‘The Voice’ Finale

Tonight on The Voice finale, 80s favorite Tears For Fears took the stage to perform a medley including their 1985 hit “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and their newest song “The Girl That I Call Home.” The Voice stage was set up with lasers, lights, and incredible visuals that bolstered the performance.

The duo had the coaches out of their big red chairs and dancing with each other in front of the stage. The set was incredibly staged for the synth-pop group, featuring visuals from their new single. They brought the nostalgia with “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” but transitioned smoothly into their new era with “The Girl That I Call Home.”

Tears For Fears Perform Recent Release During The Voice Finale, Plus Who is Going to Win it All?

Tears For Fears brought nostalgia to The Voice while also showcasing their new offering, perfectly blending the old with the new. The finale episode is delightfully genre-diverse, featuring rock and new wave from Tears For Fears, country from Riley Green and Ella Langley, and even holiday pop from Kelly Clarkson. This choice reflects the diversity of The Voice as well when it comes to styles of music.

The Top 5 contestants also had a chance to make one last showcase. Each contestant took the stage with their coach to perform a duet, allowing them to close out the season with their mentor by their side.

We’re all eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winner of The Voice, and while there are some clear fan favorites, it could really be anyone this season. Jeremy Beloate has proven himself a strong contender, but so have Shye and Sydney Sterlace. Sofronio Vasquez could also make a bee-line for the finish, while Danny Joseph has all the makings of a rock star. America has voted, and it all comes down to this spectacular finale.
