Appearing on the show during season four, the singer surprised viewers with his voice. Gaining a following while on the show, the singer eventually found himself the winner. Looking to take his career in a different direction, Young not only decided to drop his current label, but he celebrated signing with a new one. Joining Black River Entertainment, the label is home to stars like Pryor Baird, Scotty Hasting, MaRynn Taylor, and even Kelsea Ballerini. Sharing a collage of pictures on Twitter, Young wrote, “Thrilled to begin a new chapter with Black River Entertainment and can’t wait to get new music out very soon!”

Fans loved the news as comments read, “Congrats, can’t wait to hear it. So happy for you.” Another person added, “Love this, congratulations CY. You serve so much sweetheart. You have come so far on your journey. I’m so very proud of you.”

Chris Young Knows The Importance Of Time

While leaving RCA Records Nashville, Young loved what he produced with the label. Once speaking about his new album with PopCulture.com, the singer explained how he was given time to master the songs. “It is really, really cool that I had the ability to make a record and have the time, to not only write the songs, but find the songs that I needed for this album. Because there’s three songs on this record that I didn’t write, and I don’t know if I’d have had that amount of time I would’ve found them.”

With Young knowing how many artists will rush their work to try and meet deadlines, the singer insisted, “I think that’s meaningful to have the ability to have the time to get all of this done.”
