Christmastime is a wholesome time. It’s a time for family, welcoming lights strung around a tree, warm fires in the fireplace, and nice dinners before bedtime. Christmas is also an occasion for music, from The Nutcracker ballet to Bing Crosby’s timeless singing voice. But the holiday season also makes room for a few songs that aren’t quite so wholesome.

Here below, we wanted to explore three naughty Christmas songs. A trio of tracks that don’t play on the traditional themes of wholesome family togetherness. Rather, they play on more adult themes. Indeed, these are three titillating, naughty Christmas songs to fill your Christmas stockings.

“Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt from Eartha Kitt (1953)
This supremely flirty Christmas song is bolstered by actress/singer Eartha Kitt’s unique voice. And on the song, she bats her eyelashes at Santa Claus, asking for expensive furs, a car, a yacht, a house, and more. But if you were Santa, wouldn’t you give it to her? Yuh-huh! The beautiful Kitt, known for her role as Catwoman, sings on the tune,
Santa baby, I want a yacht and really that’s not a lot
Been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa honey, one little thing I really need
The deed to a platinum mine
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with the duplex and checks
Sign your ‘x’ on the line
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
“I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” by The Jackson 5 from Jackson 5 Christmas Album (1970)
This song, which was originally written by Tommie Connor and has since been covered by numerous artists, perhaps was done best by the family band The Jackson 5. The song works well when sung by young Michael Jackson, as the lyrics tell the story of a child seeing his mother kissing who he thinks to be Santa Claus on Christmas Eve night. Of course, the presumed Santa is really the kid’s father dressed up in a red suit. But the wide-eyed kid is none the wiser. Still, the song gives visions of a romance between the parents—or maybe mom really did give Santa a smooch! As Jackson sings,
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus (kissing, kissing Santa Claus)
Underneath the mistletoe last night
She didn’t see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peep
She thought that I was tucked up
In my bedroom, fast asleep
Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus (tickle, tickle, Santa Claus)
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey from Merry Christmas (1994)
This holiday season, when you hear those chimes come in over the holiday store speakers or on your radio, you know Mariah Carey’s big voice is about to shine through next. She is, after all, the contemporary Queen of Christmas. And it’s largely thanks to this sultry-sweet song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Carey, who is one of the most beautiful and bodacious pop stars in recent memory, gives this song a little extra spice thanks to furry-fringed outfits and holiday style. After all, she is singing a holiday-themed love song about desire. Indeed, she croons,
I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
