4 Underrated Rock Bands That Should Finally Reunite in 2025

It seems like every rock musician and their mother has been reuniting for farewell tours in the last couple of seasons. We’re not complaining; it’s always a treat to see one’s favorite band come back for one more run. But in 2025, there are a few underrated rock bands we’d like to see get back together for one more tour. Unfortunately, a few of them may never hit the road again, no matter how much we beg.

1. The Firm

The Firm was once one of the greatest supergroups of all time. This underrated rock band was together for two short years in the 80s and featured Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, Manfred Mann’s Chris Slade, and iconic bassist Tony Franklin. It would be a joy to see this supergroup get back together for one final run. And at the very least, Page is probably up for it.

2. The Replacements

The Replacements played their last show back in 1991 before going on hiatus for over three decades. The punk rock outfit will never be able to reunite their original lineup after the passing of OG guitarist Bob Stinson, but there’s still hope for some semblance of a reunion in the future. Both Tommy Stinson and Paul Westerberg performed together in 2015.

3. Fugazi

When it comes to underrated rock bands that need to get back together, punk rock outfit Fugazi is at the top of the list. Fugazi was one of the pioneering bands in the alt-rock and punk scene throughout the 1990s. Nobody was doing post-hardcore like them. Sadly, Fugazi has been on an “infinite” hiatus for decades now, and the band has no plans to get back together.

4. The White Stripes

Alright, claiming The White Stripes are underrated is a bit of a stretch. However, garage rock fans in the younger generation may not be altogether familiar with this iconic duo from the 2000s.

Sadly, even though we’d love to see a genuine reconciliation between the former spouses, it’s not likely going to happen. Jack White has a lot of other stuff on his plate at the moment, and Meg White has more or less disappeared from the public eye. But if they did kick off a reunion tour in 2025, they would make a lot of money.
