“Hiss” is a soaring roots-rock tune featuring soulful lead vocals by Muireann McDermott Long and harmonies by bandmate Dave O’Grady. The track is packed with Wood’s inspired blues-infused riffs.
Musically, “Hiss” bears the influence of the Southern rock-and-soul of The Black Crowes, as well as the gritty blues of Wood’s bands The Rolling Stones and Faces.
A social media post announcing the track’s release features a video clip of Wood in the studio with Seafoam Green.
