Watch Lainey Wilson Help a Brave Young Fan Check Items off Her To-Do List During a Concert in Arkansas

Lainey Wilson might be one of the biggest names in country music today but that doesn’t stop her from taking time to make memories with her fans. Wilson regularly does what she can to make her fanbase feel loved and empower women and girls. During a recent show, she helped one young fan cross some items off of her “to-do” list.

In August, Wilson took her Country’s Cool Again Tour to the Walmart Amphitheater in Rogers, Arkansas. She saw a young fan holding up a sign that caught her eye during her set. So, she called her brought her up onstage, and asked her to show the audience her sign. It was a to-do list with four items on it.

Kneeling beside the girl, Wilson read the items on the to-do list to the audience. “Beat cancer—she did it!” Wilson read to cheers from the crowd. “Beat cancer again—she did it!” she said, revealing the second item to even more cheers from the crowd. Then, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer helped her tick the last items off the list.

“Meet Lainey Wilson—she did it! Sing with Lainey—she’s about to do it y’all!” Wilson announced before checking the final two boxes on the list and putting her autograph on the sign. Then, she took the young cancer survivor to the front of the stage to sing Miranda Lambert’s “Kerosene.”

Lainey Wilson Went from Walmart Aisles to the Walmart Amphitheater

Lainey Wilson has been performing in front of people since she was a kid. The crowds and venues have just gotten bigger over the years. Last month, she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. While on the show, she talked about performing as a child.

“I’ve heard stories that you used to perform in a Walmart in the aisles,” Fallon said. “I would play anywhere that they let me play,” Wilson replied. “I’m talking about nursing homes, flatbed trailers, anywhere. My parents would be like, ‘Hey Lainey, sing that song you just wrote last week,’ for anybody and I’d do it,” she added.
