On Monday’s episode, the show was deep in the Battle Rounds. The coaches paired up their performers last week, kicking off the Battles and sending fans into a frenzy. This part of the show usually gets fans going, as the performances and match-ups are always unique. However, the stakes aren’t as high as they will be later in the show. Still, it’s interesting to see how the coaches approach sending someone home already.

Two singers from Gwen Stafani’s team, who both received four-chair turns, first battled it out. Austyns Stancil and Jose Luis sang a rendition of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down,” and delivered effortlessly smooth vocals. A viewer on YouTube shared that Stancil and Luis’ performance was one of the best they’ve ever seen.

“They feed right into each other’s energy,” they wrote. “Would love to see them both go forward!” Reba McEntire shared a similar sentiment, saying “It’s like you guys have been singing forever together.”

New Episode of ‘The Voice’ Continues the Battle Rounds

The Battle Rounds are a tactic for the coaches to whittle down their teams before the Knockouts, where the stakes are raised. The decisions don’t come easy for the coaches or the performers, and emotions are always high. Especially when a coach uses one of their Steals on a disqualified artist.

Last week, Michael Bublé stole Sloane Simon, who was branded a “pop star in the making.” Simon faced off against 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace, where they performed Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather.” Gwen Stefani had the final say, and ultimately chose Sterlace over Simon.

However, not only did Bublé smash his Steal button, but so did Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg. They all wanted a chance to coach the talented singer, but Simon chose Bublé for her new team. Most likely, she saw that she could gain the most knowledge from Bublé.
