Country Star Forced To Cancel Shows After Losing All Her Gear in Bus Fire

In 2023, Alana Springsteen hit the road for her first-ever headlining tour in support of her three-part debut album, TWENTY SOMETHING. Starting to pen songs at age 9, the Virginia Beach native was 14 when she signed her first publishing deal. Continuing her upward career trajectory, Springsteen was gearing up to open for Tyler Hubbard this weekend in a three-show Texas run. Unfortunately, an unexpected disaster has forced the “taylor did” singer to cancel those sets.

Alana Springsteen Is “Beyond Grateful” For Safety of Herself and Crew

Taking to her Instagram stories Thursday (Oct. 24) morning, Alana Springsteen informed fans that she and her crew had experienced “our first and hopefully only ever bus fire this morning.”

“I’m beyond grateful to God that everyone on our team and crew is safe and unharmed,” Springsteen wrote. “Sending big love to the firefighters, police and EMTs that showed up, took care of us and made sure everyone was ok.”

While everyone on board escaped unscathed, Springsteen unfortunately can’t say the same of their equipment and personal items. “[So] we’re unfortunately not going to be able to play the shows this weekend,” she added. “We’ll keep y’all updated.”

The “hold my beer” singer was scheduled to open for Tyler Hubbard’s Strong World Tour Thursday (Oct. 24) in Cedar Park, Texas. She planned to head to Fort Worth on Friday (Oct. 25) and Houston on Saturday (Oct. 26.)

What’s Next?

This devastating setback comes during a career high for Alana Springsteen. This past summer, she opened for Luke Bryan’s Mind of a Country Boy Tour. The rising star recently celebrated her 24th birthday by dropping two new songs: “hold my beer” and “cowboy.”

These tracks are fans’ first taste of her highly-anticipated sophomore album, which she has been hard at work on for some time now.

“There’s a freedom I’ve felt in my writing and in the studio that I haven’t experienced before and it’s fueling a wildly creative energy,” Springsteen told Billboard. “I can’t wait to tell these stories.”
