Taylor Swift Shatters Another Record With Luke Combs in the Audience

Taylor Swift has kicked off the final leg of her momentous “Eras” Tour. The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer confirmed earlier this year that the show will come to an end Dec. 8. Since March 2023, it’s been a whirlwind of costume changes, surprise performances, and shattered records. On Friday (Oct. 18) Swift kicked off the first of three sold-out shows at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Naturally, she broke another record—and country star Luke Combs was there to witness the occasion.

Taylor Swift Eclipses Madonna, U2 With Record-Breaking Miami Show

Taylor Swift brought her usual bag of tricks to Miami’s “Eras” Tour stop, including two surprise performances of “Florida!!!” with Florence and the Machine.

It was another “can’t-miss-it” night in a tour packed with them—and many Swifties did not miss it. According to the X/Twitter account @chartstswift, the 14-time Grammy Award winner drew a crowd of 122,000 during Friday’s and Saturday’s shows. This tops a 30-year-old record previously held by Billy Joel and Elton John.

According to reports, the show’s 85,000-plus attendees also broke records set by U2 in 2011 during their “360° Tour,” and Madonna during her “Sticky & Sweet Tour” in 2008.

Only 49 days are left until the curtain closes on the “Eras” Tour for good—plenty of time for Swift to make even more history.

Fans Are Living For Luke Combs and His Wife at the “Eras” Tour

Luke Combs is another artist who knows a thing or two about record-breaking crowds. Back in April, the “Fast Car” singer scored the highest two-night attendance at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium with 99,671 concertgoers.

So it was a real treat for fans to see Combs and his wife, Nicole, soaking up the atmosphere during Taylor Swift’s Friday (Oct. 18) “Eras” Tour stop in Miami, Florida.

“This city reeks of driving myself crazy,” Nicole Combs wrote in an Oct. 19 Instagram post. She shared pictures of herself and several other women rocking friendship bracelets. Her country-star husband appeared by her side in two of those photos.

“my two favorite artists in the same stadium…i died dead,” one Instagram user wrote.
