“The Bear” actor Jeremy Allen White was revealed earlier this year to be taking the lead role as Bruce Springsteen in the musician’s upcoming biopic. Now, it looks like fellow actor Jeremy Strong has also been added to the cast of the Bruce Springsteen biopic.

The “Succession” actor recently told NME that he will be part of the cast for the upcoming film, titled Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Rumors of Strong’s involvement have been floating around since mid-2024, notably that he would be playing Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau. Strong didn’t confirm the cast addition until recently, though he did not confirm that he would be playing Landau specifically.
In the NME interview, Strong confirmed that he would be part of the cast for the film. He also took the time to talk about his love for Springsteen’s music. Not surprisingly, his favorite album by The Boss is the 1982 classic Nebraska.
“It just always spoke to me, there’s a melancholy to it,” said Strong of the famed breakthrough album. “I am doing [Deliver Me From Nowhere] but I’d always felt that way about that album. There’s a narrative to it that comes from a very deep place in him and you can feel that.”
The interview turned into a discussion of music, which Jeremy Strong pivoted from Bruce Springsteen toward Van Morrison. Strong said that he found the 1968 album Astral Weeks to be “transportive” and “pretty perfect”.
The interview was conducted during press for Strong’s current film, The Apprentice, a controversial biopic about the life of Donald Trump.
What Will ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Be About?
With powerhouse actors like Jeremy Allen White and Jeremy Strong in the mix, we can expect the upcoming biopic to be a wild ride.
The film, which does not have a set release date as of this writing, will depict the writing process behind Springsteen’s iconic album Nebraska. Springsteen wrote and recorded the songs on a four-track, alone in his home in New Jersey in the 1980s. The subsequent release of Nebraska is considered by many to be Springsteen’s magnum opus, and the album connected with many Americans at the time who were struggling in lower and middle-class America.
Few additional details have been released about the film. Production has already begun, and the cast and crew were expected to start filming this fall. Deliver Me From Nowhere will likely come out at some point in 2025.
