Former Ozzy Osbourne Guitarist Doesn’t Mince Words After Surviving Shooting: “I Am One Lucky Motherf*cker”

Early Tuesday morning, Police received a call pertaining to a shooting that happened around 10 miles away from the Las Vegas Strip. Answering the call, police found former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, Jake E. Lee, shot three times while trying to walk his dog. Quickly clearing the area, Lee was taken to a nearby hospital for gunshot wounds. While in the intensive care unit, the rockstar is expected to make a full recovery. Still, shocked by the news, former Guns N’ Roses member, D.J. Ashba, shared an update with fans.

Able to get in constant with Lee, Ashba shared their text message conversation on his Instagram stories. He wrote, “Yooooo! Please tell me you’re okay??” Although it took several hours before Lee answered, the musician said, “Doing surprisingly well. I am one lucky mother f***er. Just make sure your bday bash is wheelchair accessible! Just jestin’.” Thrilled by the response, Ashba replied, “So fn thankful you’re ok! Haha! U got it bro!”

Ozzy Osbourne & Bret Michaels Send Love To Jake E. Lee

Not the only one worried about Lee, Poison’s Bret Michaels also took a moment to offer his love and support to the musician and his family. The rocker wrote, “To our friend Jake E. Lee — our thoughts, prayers and concerns go out to you, my friend, after hearing the news of you being shot in Las Vegas today. We are all pulling for you & hoping that you will have a speedy & incredible recovery.” 

Although not working together for some time, Ozzy Osbourne added his voice to the conversation, telling TMZ, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be OK.”

As for the shooter, the police released a statement, admitting no arrest had been made at the time. Still working out the details, the local authorities insisted the shooting was an ongoing investigation.
