Unlike many previous music-themed cruises, which usually embark from Florida and travel into the Caribbean, the 2025 On the Blue event will take a more northerly route.

The cruise will set sail from Boston and visit Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Portland, Maine, before heading back to Beantown. Attendees will have the opportunity to leave the ship and check out the various locales during the trip.

Hayward will be performing with his solo band during the cruise. The lineup also includes Alan Parsons, Dave Mason, The Zombies’ Colin Blunstone, Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas, Al Stewart, Ambrosia, April Wine, Wishbone Ash, Honeymoon Suite, Pat Travers, and ex-Boston singer Fran Cosmo.

Besides the many concerts that will take place, the cruise will offer a variety of other activities and amenities.

Among the activities will be photo experiences, wine tasting, and painting with the artists, and themed dance nights. Amenities include access to restaurants, pools, Jacuzzis, a fitness center, a casino, a nightclub, and much more.

Reservations for the cruise can be booked now. Cabin prices vary, and begin at $1,350 per person for a four-guest room. Visit OntheBlueCruise.com for more information.

The On the Blue Cruise is the successor to The Moody Blues Cruise, which was discontinued after Hayward’s old band retired from touring a few years ago.
