Snoop Dogg Says His Fellow ‘The Voice’ Coach Michael Bublé Is Like His “Lost Brother”

Music is like a universal language that can bring people from different walks of life together. Examples of this can be found throughout history. Currently, those who tune in to watch The Voice every week can see it happening in real-time. The coaches—Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Gwen Stefani—come from wildly different genres and cultures. However, they’ve all become friends despite the competitive nature of the show.

Recently, Snoop Dogg spoke at a conference for Raising Cane’s employees about his experience on The Voice. While talking about the show, he revealed that he feels right at home with the rest of the coaches. Maybe more surprisingly, he and Bublé became friends almost instantly.

Snoop Dogg on His “Lost Brother” Michael Bublé

Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves asked Snoop Dogg about his time on The Voice. The iconic rapper was more than happy to share his experience on the show. “I had a great time on The Voice, I ain’t gonna front,” he said. “When I did the contract, I was like ‘I’m about do to this sh-t for one year and get up out of here.’ But then, once I got to the set, I fell in love with Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani,” he revealed. “Unbelievably, me and Michael Bublé are, like, lost brothers, man!” he added.

“I mean, it’s such a great show. It’s such a great show,” Snoop said. “It’s a lot of great artists on there, it’s a lot of emotion, a lot of inspiration, motivation, all of the above,” he added. “Just me coaching, doing what I love to do, to give back to artists who are trying to do something with their career, it’s a beautiful thing.”

The Feeling Is Mutual

During a conversation between coaches, Snoop Dogg asked Michael Bublé, “When you finally met that artist that you wanted to work with your whole life, and you got a chance to work with them, what was that feeling? And, you can name that artist.”

“I can’t tell you because you just won’t believe me,” Bublé said. Then, Snoop assured him that he would believe him. “I love you so much, I’m not joking,” he replied. “My family loves you. I was so terrified that you wouldn’t be who you are,” he added. “I was so excited to do this with you and people said, ‘No man, he has a great reputation.’ I was so nervous the day we showed up. And you were awesome, man. It was huge for me,” he explained.

“I was so excited to meet you and you were better than I ever thought you could be. And that’s the truth,” Bublé concluded.
