While it has been nearly 17 years since they released a new album, Poison continues to entertain fans thanks to their hit songs like “Fallen Angel”, “Your Mama Don’t Dance”, and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” A product of the glam metal era of music, Posion controlled the airwaves throughout the 80s as the band sold over 40 million albums. Looking past their time in the studio, the band continues to perform on stage with groups like Def Leppard. But recently, Rikki Rockett decided to clear the air when it came to rumors that Poison would tour in 2025.

After participating in The Stadium Tour in 2022, Bret Michaels seemed to show interest in doing another tour with Poison. Taking part in a Q&A, the singer said, “When we go back, I think in 2025, it’s always been, to me, all-original POISON. We’ll have C.C [DeVille, guitar] and Bobby [Dall, bass] and Rikki and myself and go do another big stadium tour and arena tour in 2025.”
Although fans shared their excitement about a potential tour, Rockett posted some heartbreaking news on Facebook. “I keep getting asked multiple times a day, ‘Why isn’t POISON touring in 2025 now?’ Super simple answer, Bret doesn’t want to.”
Rikki Rockett Wants More Energy From Poison
Not giving any more details about the reasoning for Michaels, Rockett left fans to discuss his message as many shared how much they wanted to see the band once again. Back when Michaels expressed his enthusiasm about a tour, he said, “We’ve known each other since we’ve been in junior high school… I wouldn’t be here without Bobby or Rikki or C.C. And then, as you go along, we’ve been together a long time — still great friends. If anyone saw ‘The Stadium Tour’, that was a party.”
While Rockett and thousands of fans want another Poison tour, only time will tell if Michaels has a change of heart. Once discussing the balance between Poison and a solo career, the singer noted, “For me, what it is, we do about a couple of years solo, and then we’ll go out and do 35 or 40 dates with Poison. And we set it up, we schedule it.”
As for Rockett, his thoughts on Michaels were simple. “I want him to do good. I just want Poison to be important too, and I would like [him] to put a little more energy into Poison.”
